Winter Season – Winter Tyres Included Across the Fleet

From 1 December to 31 March, every vehicle in our fleet is delivered with M+S certified winter tyres. No additional charge applies.

Under Turkish Highway Traffic Law, the use of winter tyres is mandatory in designated periods and routes during winter months. To relieve customers of this obligation without additional cost, Dusa Rent a Car delivers every fleet vehicle equipped with winter tyres from 1 December to 31 March.

Legal Framework

Pursuant to the Turkish Highway Traffic Law (No. 2918), winter tyre use is mandatory on routes and dates determined by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. Failure to comply results in administrative fines.

Scope

  • The campaign is valid between 1 December and 31 March. Depending on seasonal conditions, Dusa Rent a Car may start the period earlier or extend it.
  • Applies to all vehicle classes, including Economy, Mid-size, Premium and SUV.
  • No additional charge is applied for winter tyres; the standard daily rate applies.

Fleet Standards

  • The tyres used are M+S (Mud + Snow) certified.
  • Tread depth is regularly inspected in line with applicable regulations and manufacturer recommendations. Vehicles with worn or expired tyres are not released.
  • Our fleet includes 4×4 SUV options suitable for steep and snowy routes.

Terms of Use

  1. The campaign is applied automatically to reservations falling within the winter season; no special request is required.
  2. Snow chains may be provided upon customer request, subject to availability. The request must be communicated at booking or before delivery.
  3. Use of the vehicle on prohibited or closed routes is the customer's responsibility. Damages arising on such routes are evaluated under the rental contract.

Emergency Support

The 24/7 Dusa Rent a Car customer line is active during heavy snowfall or road closures. Roadside assistance is provided under the insurance and assistance terms of the contract.

Important Notes

  • The campaign does not apply during periods in which winter tyre use is not legally required; vehicles are delivered with summer tyres during such periods.
  • Tyres fitted or changed by the customer are not accepted unless expressly authorised in the contract.
